Heads Up!

I went early in the afternoon. Saw a few cars drive by, and a few cars parked. I also saw numerous signs giving warning that police travel in unmarked vehicles and patrol the woods in plainclothes. In fact, I spotted a police van with two cops inside parked in a known cruisy parking lot. It never ceases to amaze me the tremendous amount of effort the police put into this.

Careful. Cops are cruising this a lot. I almost got busted there last year and the cops were guys I have seen around in there before for years. Beware if there is more than one guy around. They are very sneaky on how they catch you too. They try to befriend you first and then try to get you to say you want to do something.

Stay away. My partner just got arrested there for lewd, wanton, and lascivious conduct -- just for putting his hand down his own pants. Now he is facing an uphill legal battle and is extremely distraught. This is so messed up. We need to educate the police chief that these arrest tactics are not okay. If they don't want people cruising there are a lot of other steps they could take short of arresting people -- like putting up a sign or giving people a warning. This is blatantly homophobic. The officers are having too good of a time enticing gay men into coming on to them, then arresting them. They're getting away with this outrageous, harmful approach to stopping so-called crimes.

The best time is after 3:30 when state workers go home. There are lots of places for cruising here. Thereâ€™s plenty of action on sunny days on the trails. I prefer the area near Route 114, away from the main stream.
