A "prostitution sting" here led to the arrest of ten "johns" on May 31. Names and photos were published in local media.

An undercover vice unit operation led to the arrest of seven men here July 13, 2022 for misdemeanors such as exposure and lewd acts. Names and photos were in local media.

A two-day mid-December police undercover operation resulted in the arrest of eleven.
The Oklahoma City Police Department Vice Enforcement Unit conducted the undercover operation after receiving numerous citizen complaints of criminal sexual acts occurring at the metro park.

Trosper Park, 2300 SE 29, has gained a reputation for casual sex and hook-ups since the 1970s...

"This is a place where we repeatedly have to go to to address this issue," [an officer] said. "We're going to have undercover officers there from time to time, and if you choose to go out there and engage in this type of activity, you may just be right there with an undercover police officer and you may be facing arrest because of it."

If you think that you can monitor police transmissions on the scanner, give up. Oklahoma City PD has migrated to a Pro-Voice radio system which disallows all monitoring by those outside the law enforcement community. There are no police scanners capable of monitoring these digital transmissions.

Major arrests this past week at Trosper. They're not just busting guys for public sex. They're also arresting them for (non-prostitution related) solicitation. You don't see our cops busting straight people who pick each other up in public and go elsewhere to have sex, but you DO still see them busting gay folks for doing the same. This is (per Lawrence v. Texas) patently unconstitutional and plainly disparate treatment based upon pure animus. I say bust folks for having sex out in the open, yes, but only if you treat straights the same way exactly. As for solicitation with no public sex and no prostitution? Well, absolutely no crime has been committed. All you're trying to do there is to harass gay folks, let straights off the hook, and raise tons of uncontested municipal revenue in the process. That, my friends, is bullshit, and it needs to stop.

The local self-appointed 'Video Vigilante,' Brian Bates, has set up a Web site to rid Trosper of cruising, and has also set up an amateur sting operation at Trosper. Beware!

I go here quite often and never leave without hooking up with at least two or three people. I have sucked a lot of straight guys off in this park. Pull up next to a car and pull your cock out. Lots of hot guys. Use caution as police do patrol once in a while.

I spent nearly an hour at this park just watching. Cars driving and parking like ants on a hill, but not one hookup did I observe! What a useless cruise spot -- everyone wasting their time driving around looking at each other then leaving. This place shouldn't even be listed here.

Be careful here. A prominent newscaster was arrested here a few years back and the fiasco ruined his career. When's the last time you heard about a hetero being arrested for fucking his girlfriend in a car in a park? Doesn't happen -- not unless she's a hooker or it's in front of kids or something egregious like that.
