Public landing/park where you can launch a canoe on the Saluda River. Lots of action here. Go down the path and eventually you will find someone cruising there. Lots of evidence of cruising such as used condoms and condom wrappers.

I saw three cars parked on the left together. They were headed in. I saw three vehicles parked on the right together. They were all backed in. Two vehicles were light-colored pick up trucks with older guys in their late 40's or 50's. Both with white goatees sitting in their trucks watching. They were dressed the same in button down shirts with square tails that were out. Very typical of summer detective wear. The third vehicle was a black Camaro or Charger. The windows were blacked out, but I could tell there was a black guy in there. I was suspicious, so I casually walked down to the river and stood there looking at the ramp and scenery. Pretty soon, the black guy had gotten out of his car and walked down there. He was dressed like the other two guys. Very interesting. He kept staring at me and was on his phone texting someone. He never made a move and neither did it. Normally guys who are cruising don't text, or play with their phones, so I decided to leave without trying to hook up. I walked back to the car and now the two guys in the trucks were out of their vehicles talking. They almost broke their necks when they saw me coming back. I got into my car and casually left. As I was driving out of the driveway and down the street, a sheriff's car was headed my way. As soon as he saw me, he stopped dead in the street. I knew he was going to pull me over. I made sure I was zipped up and casually drove by. I saw them make the u-turn as I turned the corner. Out of sight, I moved quickly to get distance without speeding. They turned down the street behind me but were caught in traffic. I was able to get onto the interstate and they stopped following me. I know these guys were all cops. I know they were texting each other and probably the patrol car. Thank God I did not do anything that is considered "cruising." From what I can tell, these guys are at this spot arresting people almost every afternoon. Steer clear! Edited on 08/13/23

Follow the short path to the river. At the river, there is a trail to the right and one to the left. Both trails are good. Walk down either trail a short distance, and if it is active, you will soon be sucking or getting sucked. Early morning is best or late afternoon. Edited on 07/13/23
