A university trustee and a Sheriff's Office employee were both arrested here in an Sheriff's officers undercover sting operation. Reports indicate that an undercover agent was using a "map-based hookup app." A third man was arrested at Liberty Park. Names, some photos, and additional information about those arrested were publicized in local media.
This place is heavily monitored by cops. All park parking lots in this county are posted "No Back In Parking" as a heads up that these are parks the cops are actively monitoring and are known to be cruise spots. They can now simply drive thru and obtain your life's criminal history by your car tag and know why you're there before making contact with you.

The gates are usually closed by 9:30 pm, but if there's enough interest, the action moves down Douglas to the Softball Complex, which is not fenced off. You can park on the street and walk in there any time of the day.

This park has had a lot of sting operations going on in the past few months. The first week in September saw two guys arrested and hauled out of the woods in handcuffs and their cars towed. Be very careful if you go there and know who you are with before you go into the woods or restroom. I talked to a guy who was arrested there. He said they kept him in jail for 36 hours, he had to call someone to get him out, and it cost him $2,500 for fines, lawyer,and counseling. He had followed a guy into the woods and the guy started rubbing his cock and asked, 'you do me and I do you?' The next thing he had cuffs on and went to jail.

I live in the neighborhood around the park and at the last Neighborhood Association meeting the Board has requested both the Altamonte Springs Police and Seminole County Sheriff's Office to do a sting operation on the park for "gay sex.†One of the Board members is a well known TV news reporter and is pushing this big time.

Just a very few older guys when I was there. Usually busy with families and joggers, so you'd probably want to have another place lined up to go if you did meet someone.

I visited this park at lunch today and met a guy on one of the trails at the back of the park who sucked me off. Seems pretty quiet and safe at this point.
