The current owner of the property has filed for permits to demolish the now-closed resort. There is a possibility that the iconic "Parliament House" sign will be preserved.

The Parliament House will be closing permanently this Monday November 2 after being in business for 45 years. There will be a "Last Dance" closing event on Sunday November 1.

The owners say they will relocate. One news report speculates where, perhaps as a bar/club only – no "resort" rooms, no pool – in the downtown Church Street area among others.

In an ongoing story, this historic gay resort's property was sold in February, 2020 although the Parliament House owner was allowed to rent the location and continue to operate. Continuing developments include a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the owner to avoid repossession by a lender. The resort had previously filed bankruptcy on 2014 and has faced many rumors of closure over the years. The owner vows to remain open.

Unrelated but notable, two violent incidents included an April murder here of an employee by his partner in a domestic dispute. In May, two other men were shot but survived. Both cases resulted in arrests.

Parliament House is for sale. It's reported that the owner wants to keep it open as a resort under a lease-back agreement. The proceeds of the sale would allow him to resume development of a neighboring timeshare property.

Budget friendly it is not. Top dollar for trashy rooms. Unfriendly front desk. The cook is a alcoholic. He's been beat up there by clients several times due to his drunkard behavior.

Want to get hustled? This is the place to go. Go to Club Orlando instead and save money.

This place has been famous (or infamous) for years. I'm surprised to see it added to the site only now. There's news reports that it has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but will remain in business while trying to restructure debts: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/bus...cy-20140725,0,4078538.post
