London's famous Hampstead Heath, a park known for gay cruising since Victorian times, recently saw a number of signs posted urging dog walkers to "take back" the park from cruisers. ACT UP London and This is My Culture plan a "Sodomites Walk" in protest. No doubt cruising will continue.

A misconduct hearing was just held resulting in the firing of a Metropolitan Police office who was caught jerking off here while off-duty earlier in the year. His name and photo were published.

Cruisers here have been fined, not for having sex but for violating COVID restrictions during the latest stricter lockdown. It's acknowledged that police "will not penalise late-night sexual behaviour that is not visible to the public. The primary concern is the potential danger to public health when cruising leads to risks of spreading COVID-19."

With the warm weather, busy all night. The promenade and the maze busy per usual, but even the area just beyond the car park behind Jack Straw's Castle.

I love to cruise here, always plenty to do, and even just watching is fun. All ages and types, but with the 'hiking,' the geriatric set mostly stay away.

Still fun, still lots of action, in the 'maze' and after dark, along the 'promenade.' Once you're there, you'll figure this out. Afternoons there is some action, but at night and all night, it is mucho busy.

Walk in from just beyond the top of Heath Street, or down from the car park behind Jack Straw's Castle.

Wow! I thought the days of outdoor cruising and sex were long gone. But I spent the afternoon at the Hampstead Heath wooded area and holy crap!

There were at least fifteen guys cruising the trail, a mix of older, younger, and in-between. I watched three guys fucking near a tree and finally got the nerve to join in. I came too quickly, but when I finished there were at least eight guys standing around watching the action.

I haven't been that turned on in years. This place is smoking hot!

Here are directions to find the Group Fuck Tree / Bareback Tree on Hampstead Heath:

Below Jack Straw's castle, go down the steps from the Castle and you hit the main path running left-right. Turn right and follow the path; there will be guys hanging around on the path. You will see some buildings - the classical Hill Gardens - high up on the right and the main path that you are on then curves slightly to the left. Shortly after this, there is a first turning to the left, with a black rubbish bin on the corner, where the path drops downhill. Take this and follow the path down into the woods for about 5 minutes, sticking to this main path. You then need to bear right into the woods and this soon opens out. There are usually guys heading in that direction. You will see a very large clearing with the infamous Fuck Tree (pictured here). Tends to be very quiet before about 10 pm, but after this time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at any time of the year, this is a great place to watch raw breeding and take part too. Some nights, over 300 guys/TVs are looking for bareback, many bent over the fuck tree and putting on displays.

If you have difficulty with these directions, you can always ask one of your fellow cruisers. Most will know where it is.

Always fun on the West Heath, but only after dark. Either park behind Jack Straw's Castle and walk into the heath, or from Heath Street, behind Leg O' Mutton pond and then into the heath. Trails are all well trod and you'll find lots of guys along the promenade, or a little farther in, in the maze.

The best area is North Heath behind Jack Straws Castle. Friday and Saturday nights from about 10:30 pm onwards you will find lots of guys cruising and lots barebacking. There is also a fucklog where I generally go, stripped to just white trainers, socks and cap and spreadeagled over the log. I have taken load after load from dozens of guys, all bareback, and left there with a cuntful of cum.

This is way too open and I found nothing but family outings on a typical Saturday afternoon. The views and the tress are stunning but not good for cruising. I worked out my sore legs and I realized that I should have saved it for sauna walking instead. That said, it is still the best view of the city. I would prefer to see more action take place but I am not too sure if it is safe at night. Please advise.

The West Heath at night in the summer is always a delight! Lots and lots of men, it is heaving -- from the car park all the way through. Wonderful place to go.

This is still the best place in the UK for outdoor cruising, and possibly in Europe too, though I've had wonderful times on the Baltic coasts and in Spain! Any time after dusk/dark and until late, late, late, you'll find someone, even if it's wet and cold -- and especially, of course, if it's fine. Don't be shy about plunging into the woods. There are plenty of guys about and though orienteering in the dark can sometimes be challenging, you'll always encounter fellow travelers, landmarks, and lights. I've fucked butt-naked guys here many times, and gotten sucked by many more: and I'm choosey! As a side note, remember that one part of the West Heath is used by cocksuckers during daylight hours (the far northwest corner near Kenwood) but that otherwise you'll find straight couples, dogwalkers, elderly friends, etc., as well as gay cruisers and sunbathers: please respect the fact that the West Heath is not only dedicated to gay nighttime action. But when dark falls, you can count on the action! Cum one, cum all!

This can be a great place but the park patrol has been driving through and monitoring the area for about two weeks. Stay away unless you want to get caught.

This is the place where a Conservative Party member was found tied naked to a tree and was later rescued by a police. He was not able to give a straightforward answer about what happened. Though most British do not care about what he does sexually it was nevertheless all over a very unforgiving press. Lots of eye contact here but you still need to be careful.

The granddad of all cruising areas! Every night, rain or shine, but at it's at its best in June when dawn comes at 4 am. The Whitestone Pond at the top of Heath Street NW3, five minutes straight up from Hampstead Tube -- go down behind the flagstaff by the pond and follow your nose. It's enormous so you'll need all night.
