This place can still be hot. Just be damn careful, which you should be anyway. Check out the woods above the overlook. The cops might hide there if they are running one of the periodic stings, usually around election time.

This is going to be a focus area, at least until after the mayoral run-off election in October. Also, I've heard, a good number of the guys picked up in the sting are positive for syphilis! There is, apparently, a virtual epidemic in this area! Get tested, guys. There's free confidential testing and treatment at Madison County Health. Don't pass it on to the rest of us!

They had a sting operation and twenty-four guys were caught. Local TV station WAFF's website has a story.

Heads Up!
Cops are back again. They have sting operations due to all the publicity on WAFF and WHNT 19. Couple of guys were arrested on January 31st and February 1st over at Braham Spring Park and up on Bankhead Parkway. Not worth the embarrasment and jail! Stay away.

This is a fun place. There are lots of blue-collar type guys. Been there at lunchtime and evening rush hour. I've discovered that later is better but I'm yet to be disappointed.
