Category: Directions: Take Beeline Highway (Route 87) towards Saguaro Lake. Approximately twelve miles north of the Bush Highway, turn and go to mile post 212 and to Sycamore Creek. It is an unmarked turn off, but the sign and the bridge indicate the creek location. Go east on the dirt road from the main highway to the "y" and turn left, going approximately half mile and park. Hike approximately quarter mile over the boulders.

What I found surprising considering there was no water flowing and it was a Monday, August 1, was the number of people in the parking lot when I hit the trail and when I returned. Most of them were equally naked as I was! An appointment prevented me from hanging around to see how busy it got in the afternoon. Hope to make it back on Tuesday! Edited on 08/02/22

Many great shaded beach areas to enjoy oneself and others. Weekday traffic is pretty light until mid-to-late afternoon. The weekends are much more busier with hikers/cruisers as well as ATVers. I hiked multiple days, saw some gorgeous desert scenery and naked men, worked on my tan and enjoyed cooling off by swimming in the pools. It appeared that almost more guys stripped down and enjoyed the sun and other men just in the parking lot area. There are many easy trails off of the parking lot for opportunities. I got to enjoy myself and others every day I hiked. A highlight was watching two men 69ing which led to one riding the other until completion of the three of us! Park at the tower and hike five minutes up the wash (usually dried out) until you reach a narrow fork to the left. At that point, take off to the left bank between the two washbeds and follow the path parallel to the smaller wash. When you reach a beach, continue a bit further and you will notice places to hang and the occasional nudist. This part can get busy in springtime but if you're up to more strenuous hiking upstream (another ten minutes) you will be rewarded with some great swimming holes, where most are naked and open for action. Great spot to spend the day! If Tucson can make Tanque Verde such an awesome and reliable place than we should be able to do the same with Sycamore Creek -- so much closer to home.
