Continue once it becomes unpaved (after you enter the Coronado National Forest). Stop and park just beyond the sign for the Upper Tanque Verde Falls trail (make sure the sign is for Upper Tanque Verde).

Report	Posted Mar 30 2006: The police have no jurisdiction, nor does the sheriff. The area is National Forest and only the Forest Service has jurisdiction. The National Forest Service has no official position concerning simple nudity. If you're being confronted by either a sheriff's deputy or Tucson police, remind them of their lack of jurisdiction and if forest service, remind them of official policy. And make sure you have witnesses and badge numbers.
Report	Posted Mar 09 2006: Not only is there harassment from the police but straights are complaining regularly now. Perhaps if a guy is willing to devote a half day of hiking to get to the more remote areas, he might find some action. Sadly, the old days are gone.
Report	Posted Jan 13 2005: Not bad but some advice: the gay trail is the last trail, the gay 'regulars' there park opposite the trail, drink beer, hang out and often get hassled by cops. Park down the hill at the official car park and walk. The best thing to do is get down the trail.

Numerous times, after having found someone to mess around with, I have had to ask them to go away, first politely, then rudely, and once physically. Only once have I encountered a ranger or policeman there, but the damage to cars is mounting. Take heed and stay far, far away!

There are lots of older guys who won't take ‘no' for an answer, cars getting broken into or damaged on the road, and now the local news has gotten involved. I would give this place a break until things get a chance to cool off.

Report	Posted Jul 10 2003: The beach area is usually a mixed crowd and it's often occupied by straights. For better action, hike further back into the canyon. It's a little bit of a hike, but well worth it. In the good monsoon season the dudes will be just hanging out, sunbathing nude on the rocks. Even in the dry, hot times I have been satisfied!

He stated that Coronado is in an extreme fire danger, and he is there to prevent anybody from heading up there and starting a fire.
