Wednesday afternoons were goood with the reduced entry fee. But I think Club 541 has killed that since they charge much less and are packed, even in off-season.

Apparantly things are changing there, saw a naked woman hanging out. She wasn't trans. I guess it's not all male anymore.

Update February 22, 2021: CCBC is open for day/night passes. "Walk" areas behind the buildings are open for play. As of last weekend, February 20, the "compound" tent area in the back corner is open. Alas, indoor play area sheds are still closed but there's hope.

This is a sure bet for action. A lot of older guys, but you have to remember where you are: a gay retirement community.

That being said it is so much better than a bookstore or movie theater because of the different play areas and the nude pool.

I have definitely had my share of fun here.

I've stayed here a few times and done day passes as well. Generally, it's grossly overpriced — gouging the community is probably more appropriate. And now with the advent of the drag bar just outside the "hotel," they really think they're the shit, when in reality, they're just full of shit — literally.

The rooms smell awful. I complained after my last stay and they offered me a free weekend in a newly upgraded room. When I tried to book it, they simply never responded.

The play ground is new; the old one was so gross I couldn't stand the smell or even go in it. The crowd is generally plentiful and mixed — lots of hot studs into servicing the grossest fat old men ever, go figure.

My key problem with CCBC is the amount of unsafe sex, so much fucking going on without rubbers, sucking cocks that have just cum up someone's ass. Cummunion is celebrated monthly; it's like a giant sero-conversion party 24/7/365! It's probably singlehandedly responsible for the soaring syphilis rates coming out of Palm Springs. It's ground zero in STD/HIV.

Which is sad, 'cuz it's really got potential. They like to think they're 4 star, but they're barely an outdoor bathhouse for chrissake. But the filth, odor, and disease have just become prohibitive. Oh, and the gouging. Seriously CCBC, drop your fucking prices!

I have not roomed at the resort. But I arrived around midnight on a night pass for a Cummunion party last month. Whew.

The action was plentiful and generally hot. A lot more young guys than I expected. Guys wandering around naked or in thongs, and a few in leather harness and jock — umm, me.

Guys enjoying play, guys enjoying being watched while they play, and of course guys enjoying watching other guys play. So what's not to like?

When a buff young bottom wanted to back onto my boner I explained that I didn't have a condom. He said, "I'll go get one!" and adeptly wrapped me in it. He backed his warm tight ass onto my dick and I fucked him doggie while the guy standing next to me whispered in my ear and played with my balls. Start of a long evening.

Not sure if it's always that good on a Saturday night, but it was better than I expected and I'm sure I'll give it another try when I'm out in PS again.

I just wanted to add that the website listed for this place is way outdated. Here is the current one:
www.ccbcresorthotel.com

Thanks for the correction! I usually try to check and correct this kind of thing when a new review comes in for a place, as you see with the last review. I'll update it and check their web site for other information. When I lived in Southern California in the 1990s I went to CCBC many times for various club events and I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, CFS gets few reviews for CCBC these days and I'm much too far away now to keep on top of it, so to speak, myself. ~ Editor

This resort is pretty huge that it now has changed its address to 68300 Gay Resort Drive. Even if the guest rooms aren't pleasant, you can still get a day pass to hang out on the property. If you have a day pass, just be out before the 12 hours is up (not out by 4 am like other resorts). You can also camp out in a tent on the property.

Thank you very much for the update. I have revised the listing to use the new address and their new website. ~ Editor

Here's an update. The place is still a major filthy contaminated scum place. The rooms are overpriced and the help, well I think they took a class in personal nastiness. If they don't like their job and the people they deal with, get the f*** out of there. Appears the best place in town to score drugs and it was clear virtually everyone on passes and guests were loaded on something. The average age is still 60+ and not pretty. If that's your thing, go for it. It's amazing that they stay open.

Stayed here and was quite repulsed. You can buy any drug you desire from all the local tweekers who visit. The room smelled like a can of Crisco from the 80's and old poppers. I even found used needles discarded along the back walkways. Average age is 60, which is cool, but this is a 60 that is drunk and, well, yuck.

I discovered this place a few years ago while on vacation. At first I would not go in, but on my next year I grew the nerve to explore. Even though I didn't touch anyone, I was amazed and shocked, but loved it. I loved watching the guys in the sling, the dungeon, the walk was great. I knew when I walked beyond the doors, I was definitely not in Alabama any longer!

I have been visiting CCBC for years. There is more action here than hotels because they have day passes which brings in the horny locals as well as guests from other hotels. Many playrooms and areas that are fun, a steamroom, sauna, 2 spas, the famous walk, waterfall, jail, and military compound. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Lots of special events on weekends, too.

One thing apart from what the other reviews state sums up CCBC for me: It is owned by an old, straight, Jewish man. Nothing against being Jewish (or old or straight for that matter) but with all of the other resorts owned by gay men, it just seems silly to give a straight guy your money.

Yes, CCBC is a real dump and, yes, there is only one hot shower, and they are very cheap about soap. You can see behavior from safe vanilla to reckless abandon. I once walked up on a man with a mechanical dick fucking another (bareback) in the spa tub one day. A crowd had gathered. A few were whispering and not liking it, and the water was already getting dirty, but no one asked them to stop. So have a nice swim, and check out the meth kiddies on the weekend nights, too. To be fair, lots of good guys go there, and it is jammed if it's not cold out.

I have been coming here for 15 years and it is still a dump. The steamroom needs to be condemned. It's not been repaired for years and stinks to high hell. Also, both front desk people I dealt with yesterday were horrible. It is a large resort and it has potential if someone came in and spent a little money. A decent pool, newer hot tub, but the rooms are still crap with thrift store furniture.

There is sex going on, so if that's what you're looking for, you will find it. The average age is probably mid 60's with a lot of locals there on daily or monthly passes.

Carpeting was the type you stick or slide on. Yes, the help are mean and nasty in every way. Yes, the average age group is 70. Plus the loud speakers blare all day and half the night with obnoxious loud music that is not even as good as a bathhouse.

CCBC would be much nicer if the management treated their guests better. If you are in on a day pass it can sometimes mean only one hot shower for fifty to one hundred guys, and the soap is cheap foam. They are really cheap for the money they charge.

My partner and I stayed here mid week in May and we felt like chicken meat - and we are 39 and 40! I have stayed here before, about four years ago, and it had a much younger crowd, now most of the guys are 50 and older. I found the staff to be rather rude and they seemed to be bitter about being 60 and having to work in the reception of a rather tired old resort. The rooms are clean but very basic. The themed 'play' areas are filthy, old vinyl covered mattresses and sticky carpet, and with the desert heat the smell was interesting. Wednesday night was very busy as it is half price entry for all the locals. CCBC is not classy and I am sure there are better gay places in the desert to stay.

Yuck. I went on a day-pass two days before White Party thinking there would be some good action there. There was nobody under fifty years old and two guys were actually using walkers to get around. If you're looking for dirty and sleazy, this is the place for you. I was sitting in the 'Jockuzzi' and noticed a turd floating by. Seriously. Poop in the spa. I guess someone ran out of their Depends. Clientele seems mostly older, out-of-shape locals on day passes. There's definitely a market for that in Palm Springs.

Definitely a great place to get off. However, it can be slow sometimes. Expect more action when the parking lot is close to full. Event Saturdays are best. Go to the Dungeon during the contest. There will be many guys there who are more interested in sex than the contest. Please note that their day-pass prices have gone up lately. I believe you can still get a single-entry for $20 but once you leave you cannot enter on the same pass. The standard pass is $25, which allows multiple re-entries and expires twelve hours from time of issue. Also, they have special prices on Wednesday that I can't take advantage of because I work. I've heard that Wednesdays can be busy, but it's often older guys who don't have to work.

It is really good when they have their Nude Contests (usually held on three-day holiday weekends). $20 day pass gets you in and you can come back that night for more fun. I usually go for the contests and help fluff the contestants.

The grounds are nice, the rooms decent, plenty of indoor and outdoor play space. The only problem? No hot guys. I went on a Friday night and it was filled with extremely old guys, sixty-five years old and up, some barely able to walk. Extremely disappointing and I will not be back.

The resort has been sanitized. The video room has been reconfigured to limit its use to watching videos. Danny's Dungeon is now a social room with chattering queens discussing their favorite restaurants and shopping. It was apparent some people were taken by surprise because the change is recent and drastic. One guy said to his friend 'it's midnight...I guess this is as good as it gets', which was pretty bad. Nothing was happening, or going to happen.

During the last year this resort has taken a turn for the worse. It used to be relaxing. Now it's run like a prison. The staff follow guests around and it's a damn good thing the hothead security guard doesn't have a pistol on him. The place is now filled mostly with older queens who think that for their grounds pass they can grope anything they see. They are a sterile group these days. The only time the place gets a pulse is during special events. Average age here is seventy-five. I'm serious.

ReportReport

The Resort has an interesting 60's look and the rooms are basic and clean. The greenery in 'the walk' has thinned out somewhat and water features appear rancid at times. There are a lot of old regulars...they are aggressive. There is a lot of girl talk going on in the cruisy spots spoiling the mood. I was there in early April (the fourth time in a year) and for the number of guys on the property the action was minimal. Many were fully dressed with their hands in their pockets and appeared to be killing time and watching what little action was taking place. Kissing and groping in the dark, fully dressed, is apparently 'in' again as guys took over the compound area just to make out. Not sure why people would pay for a guest pass just to grope. If you have no standards and a few hours chances are you could find something, but most sexpigs would be disappointed.

I went on the supposed ‘beach weekend' in mid-August. The layout was indeed beautiful and that path around the resort is pretty. The idea of a ‘private beach' was cute but the steamroom was next to an incredibly smelly toilet area (which you have to pass through to get to the steamroom) and the dry sauna didn't seem like so much of a sauna when I was here. The pool water also was a bit saltier than any pool I've ever been in (I don't even want to imagine what that means). But the absolute worst part, which for me defeated the whole purpose of even going, was that every five minutes or so somebody from management came around with a flashlight to make sure nobody was having sex outside of the rooms (this was only between about 8 and 10 pm on a Saturday). Geez! For all the money and hassle, I doubt I'll be going back.

I agree with the earlier comments about the standard of accommodation at CCBC. I had arranged three nights at the resort over Easter but checked out after just one. Although some of the rooms overlooking the pool area have been remodeled, I was unable to secure one of these in spite of my request over a month in advance. I was posted to a room at the start/end of the 'nature walk' which was, frankly, filthy. The bathroom was especially dirty with cracked porcelain, no sink plug and a shower head that was blocked. Insects including spiders webs in the window sills added to the misery at this dirty resort.
