Ok, so this new location has been open awhile now, but last time I went it was very poorly attended. It's small, a few rooms, lockers; for some reason, extremely cold inside; and in a very bad area of town, easily walkable to from public transportation but I wouldn't want to. They also don't allow poppers.

I am not sure what crowd they are trying to appeal to – people who can't drive elsewhere, perhaps – but I don't know how they stay open.

Why can't SF have a worthy successor to Blow Buddies? To get me to return, they would have to drop prices, allow poppers, add space and add more hot men. Such is the sad end of the SF legacy.

Re-opened with health-related restrictions after being closed due to COVID, Eros is now operating as a JO club with masks and social distancing required and strict occupancy limits. See their web site for detail. Hours may change but currently open Noon to 9 pm. There is also a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for the club.

I wanted to write in to support bathhouses in general and Eros in particular. I travel to SF and most of the metro areas around the US and Europe and it is great to have a choice of sex clubs open nearly every day and night of the week. There is no need to correspond back and forth on Grindr, M4M, and AFF, except to arrange meetings at the bathhouse anyway.

I hope bathhouses stay open after the quarantines. It has been a very dry ten-plus weeks, except for my sheets. I like to show off, check out different dicks, and try to start group action, which is hard to arrange online but can be initiated any time at a bathhouse. I suppose it is like fast food or hot bar service as opposed to a set menu. I like my variety and pace.

I promise to post the nights I will be at local bathhouses like Blow Buddies, Eros, Steamworks, and the Watergarden.

Young guys, go to the club and see for yourself. I wish I had known about bathhouses all those years I would get so horny and end up driving all over looking to hook up. So nice to go to one place with only a little planning. Older guys are naturally going to check you out but will hang back with a simple "not now." But you should also take that fat woody to a gloryhole in the play room and relax in the bliss.

This is for all bathhouse cruisers. Carry the towels and show off your hardware, but. It is not desperate but cuts out the bull crap or walking around in most unattractive bath towels. Aren't the Naked Nights the best nights for action? And leave the doors open if you're fucking. Having an audience is part of the fun. You are likely initiating new hookups. The doors are only for protecting your stuff when out and a little quiet time when you need a nap between loads.

See my review of Blow Buddies about hygiene. It is a sex club. There should be several good video rooms with enough room for orgies. Showing off all your action in the open will gets the young guys horny and gives them ideas about bringing the gang.

This is an addendum to my October 28, 2018 review of Eros, a sex club for men in San Francisco, and a response to the review that was posted after mine.

Eros is a sex club that welcomes all adult men. Go there with an open mind and a relaxed, uninhibited attitude. If you're young and cute and offended by older men whose bodies have been ravaged by the effects of aging, maybe it's better if you stay home and jerk off. If you're lucky, you'll live long enough to read ugly comments on the internet about how you're a "disgusting old troll," and people wishing you to move away or die.

The male4male cruising community can be an extremely harsh place, full of cruelty. If I am approached by a guy who I'm not particularly attracted to, I'm friendly and treat that person with kindness, not contempt.

Eros is an OK place with regular trolls. So glad the grossest one of all, the 70-year-old creep who sat upstairs on his throne with a paper towel under his bony ass every Sunday, has either moved away or died. He looked like a ghostly animatronic from the Haunted Mansion and scared off all the attractive guys. Total fucking scumbag. Good riddance!

Recently returned to Eros after not visiting for a couple of years. First let me say that a few years ago I had sex with one of the masseurs during my massage, very hot.

I went twice in the last couple of weeks. Didn't see any trans men. 75% of men fuck bareback here despite the club rules. Wish they would stay open 24 hours.

Lockers don't seem very secure, don't bring lots of cash in your wallet or any valuables. Use the shower in the steam room.

Great place for sexual pleasure. Needs a renovation badly. It was very weird being greeted by a female clerk at check-in, but she seemed unshockable.

I had a great time here myself. I plowed both a bioguy and a transman in both holes as a second transman watched. I was pleasantly surprised that the transmen were there and my experience wouldn't have been as memorable without them.

On the night that I visited 20 to 25% of the 12 to 15 guys there were transmen including the front desk attendant. I loved the open group sex atmosphere here, too, as I'm a bit of an exhibitionist. It's much easier to stay hard for 90 minutes with condoms if I'm drilling hot holes in plain view of others.

Overall, I felt that the experience was well worth the price of entry and I definitely plan to go back.

Way downhill. This place is really sad. Even a location on the gayest block in the world doesn't help attendance. There are signs up inside the club for an open house on April 12 in order to showcase the new ownership and the improvements. Uh, I only saw the same tired and under-used equipment from my visit in the Summer of 2013. Sorry, but I don't know how this place stays in business.

Eros is going uphill. Many hot young tops and bottoms and muscular older tops in my last five visits in June and July. The one Thursday I went, Eros opens the place up to have FTM (female to male), so I find the non-FTM hook-ups are best on other nights.

Just back from this place and it was OK. Within the first 5 minutes I was having sex with a hot Latino, and then ate out a cute Iranian dude's hairy ass. After that, things seemed to slow down and everyone was walking around not really doing much of anything. I don't like the no poppers rule and I prefer Steamworks to this place, but still, it's not too bad.

Last time I was here someone went through my locker and stole my cash and laptop. I was visiting from out of town and on foot for the day, so I had my stuff with me. Never had a problem before when visiting this place. When I questioned management, they admitted that they keep duplicates of all the keys to their locks. And yes, I definitely brought the police in but they couldn't or wouldn't do a thing.

I visited for the first time about a week ago and found it disappointing. There weren't many men there, and the ones who were there just circled and circled and almost never did anything. I've never been to a sex place quite this uptight, not the club -- the guests.

It's clean and the staff are very courteous and welcoming, but the clients seemed to be mostly bitter older Castro queens ignoring each other with contemptuous disregard -- kind of sad.

I visited Eros for the first time in mid April while in San Francisco on business. It was a Monday night and there were only about 12 guys in the place, but they were all diverse in age, color and orientation and READY for sex! I hooked up with a delicious South American guy, mid 40s, and had a fantastic session taking turns to pleasure and fuck each other on the top bunks. Then I hooked up with two other guys, Cuacasian and Hispanic, both early 50s and hung hard, long and thick. They tag teamed fucking me. I only come here occasionally when in town for business. I went on a late Saturday afternoon, and the place was fairly busy with lots of options. I am not as young or thin as I used to be, but I still had a great time. There were hot guys of all ages and shapes, and if you are not interested in someone, how hard is it to say no? It is one of the few indoors sex venues in San Francisco so give it a try.

Every time I have been at Eros, it seems it is only for young guys who are very in shape. They liked me OK, but I started getting really bored with this place, because it is so vanilla in so many ways. Beautiful clean sauna, showers, and steamroom, but strange cruising experience upstairs. Either no one is having sex at all, or everyone is at once, and you can't get your cock in edgewise.

Located across from Safeway in the Castro, the first floor has a lounge area, lockers, a small outdoor patio, dry and wet sauna, and a 2 stall shower area. The second floor is all bunk beds with slings, gloryholes, and TV's with porn showing. Every bed has a tray full of condoms and lube next to it. I went with a friend and had an interesting time. A mix of hot and out of shape guys. Not a bad place, but I think I prefer Steamworks or the Watergarden over Eros.

Totally beat. There are no dark spaces. Everything is lit with colored spot lights. All couples bed spaces so everyone stands around. The steam area was awful and stinky -- give people and it's overcrowded. Nice people at the front desk. No poppers. Lube in dispensers everywhere.

I was in town on vacation and was intrigued by all the talk about this place. I went there on a Saturday evening and was quite let down by it. The physical layout on the first floor is quite modern and very comfortable. The upstairs part was disappointing. The maze was nothing by a scattered arrangement of bunkbeds and platforms...no place to really be alone with anyone...no dark corners...no gloryholes. While I can appreciate it as a voyeur's and exhibitionist's dream place, there were few men and several overly-talkative tweaked out guys were walking around bothering everyone. A group of older (read sixty-plus) men vulturing around anyone who happened to wander into their field of vision. The final nail in the coffin of this place is the strictly enforced no poppers/Rush rule. Though they do get a plus for having ample condoms and lube dispensers available. But I did not see anyone actually using these free items -- lots of barebacking. All in all, I will not return to this place and recommend that you avoid it as well.

I found it somewhat fun. After a stern lecture by staff at the entrance about safe sex, I saw many barebacking episodes. The place is too lit up, poor arrangement of too much furniture like bunk beds and no dark places to initiate action. San Francisco desperately needs good sexclubs. It was mostly poising and observing, not much action.

I was traveling and went here. It is fucking great. Different kinds of guys, all California-friendly. This place is hot, clean and active. I stopped going to saunas here in the States because of all the meth addicts. It's a huge turn off. But this place is open there are no private rooms and the place is not open 24 hours, which helps to deter the crack addicts. I arrived at 4:30 pm and was spent by 6 pm. There was fucking and sucking everywhere you looked and no attitude. There are condoms and lube in arm's reach so there's no excuse for risking your life. I came four times and fucked about six guys. I would definitely recommend this club.

I've been to saunas and sexclubs all over the world and Eros is at the top of the list for friendly atmosphere. The staff here is great and relatively few clients have the aloof attitude problems that consistently ruin the fun at other places. My only negative comment is that the clientele is almost exclusively on the older/heavier side.

I always find some action that I enjoy. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. This place is for you if you are an exhibitionist and/or a voyeur. Group action is sometimes really hot here, also. I like that it is not really dark. I like to see who I'm doing and who's doing me. I also like that everyone is in towels. This place can be great if you're an exhibitionist or if you hate how the hottest guys always seem to pair up and go into private cabins at other sexclubs. Most times I've been able to find decent guys under thirty-five years old here; there are also plenty of trolls, although an angry gesture or two usually gets them to keep their hands to themselves.

I don't think this place deserves the bad rap the others have given it. I go there every time I'm in San Francisco and am seldom disappointed. Granted, the days of it being full of hot, young guys are in the past, but there are still enough attractive guys to interest me. No, I'm not fat, old, or unattractive. I like the idea that everyone is in towels. It's the closest thing to a bathhouse in the city. I do wish more guys would go there, because it's a nice facility and the staff is friendly. There are a lot of older guys, but there are others also. It's not always a hit, but in my mind it's worth a visit, especially on the weekend.

I just got back from the worst experience I've ever had there. There might have been four guys in the whole place and absolutely no action anywhere. And the worst thing was that one of the employees was in the playrooms (off the clock) taking the opportunity to harass one of the customers in between attempts to cruise me. I'm not sure what the customer was doing to deserve this attention, but from where I was standing he didn't appear to be doing anything wrong. This really saddens me, since I've had some very good experiences there in the past, and I know that at least one or two of the employees are nice. Perhaps Eros' time has passed, and its time to play somewhere else.

This place is pretty great. Wasn't really sure what to expect as I was in town on business from NYC. I decided to give it a try on a Monday evening and it had a nice mixed crowd. Hooked up with a few younger guys my age. I asked the friendly guy at the desk what night would be busier for a second visit and he recommended Thursday or Friday night. I ended up going on Thursday evening and met the greatest young guy. We put on a show for the rest of the patrons in two different spots which lasted about an hour or more before heading downstairs to hit the showers. We hit it off so well that we exchanged phone numbers and hooked up all friday night back at my hotel room and have plans to meet again. So my recommendation is to check out this hot spot. It's very clean and friendly.

Great place, reasonably priced, friendly staff, and quite clean. Lube and condoms are everywhere so safe sex is no problem. I was there several nights in a row and found hot and eager men of all types. Not for the shy types, though, as all the sucking and fucking goes on in full view of everybody. So in between fucks, there's always something fun to see. Highly recommended.

Definately a place for the plastic Castro Ken Doll crowd. So many men, all with identically pumped and hairless pecs. Definately not my type of place as I'm more of a South of Market guy.
