The action continues during the daytime until sunset. I was there on a weekday before it got dark after a rainy day and nobody was there. Then, when I thought I should just leave I saw this grandpa, a married bud with whom I have played there for years.

ToddH and the other reports are right. The cruising goes on in the area surrounded by the intersection of JFK Drive and Bernice Rodgers Way. There are a few paths entering the area from JFK Dr. and the main path is right on the east/south corner of JFK w/ Bernice Rodgers.

The cruising takes place in the area that's about the size of a city block where there are bushes, trees, and paths circling the area. In the late morning, I've seen a couple of guys wanting to get or give a BJ. During the mid-afternoon, specially with good weather, there can be like ten guys cruising. Before sunset maybe five cruisers. And when it's dark, nobody goes there. It's too darn spooky, the park is empty and the area is in total darkness.

The crowd is mostly middle-age, with the rare twenty-something here and there, and occasional grandpas, some guys riding their bikes, some hikers, and a visitor from out of town once in a while. Some married guys, many are Asians, probably Chinese, some whites, some blacks, and some Latinos.

Cons: 1) most of the guys are unattractive, so for those of us who are pickier about who blow us, jerk us, or offer us their asses, and vice versa, it's tougher to find the right guys; 2) it seems more sketchy types are showing up, some suspicious blacks, Latinos, etc. and some guys whom I wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole; 3) the few secluded spots are not optimal to play because there's not much space or there are too many branches, or the the terrain is uneven. In my case, since I'm a tall, well-built guy, leaning against a branch with someone between my legs working on my dick while trying to stand straight or ensure other branches don't scratch me is difficult; 4) Most secluded spaces are pretty accessible from the paths and can be seen if someone walks by the path next to the spot, so often when you're playing with someone then other guys can see you and get close wanting to join in, which is usually annoying and distracting unless, of course, you want them to join in.

I don't think that the path between the windmills is active any longer, although I don't know about after dark. I believe that is because the street is closed so cars cannot park there.

The area that I know is active is slightly to the east of the windmills and soccer fields. One point of entry for this area is JFK Drive at Bernice Rodgers Way. Parking would be on JFK Drive. See the pic attached.

I know it is active during the day and at least until sunset. I've heard it is still active later but I've never been there after dark.

It's a very mixed crowd from young to old, fit to fat, white, black, Asian, Latino, even some tourists, bicyclists and runners.

For me, there's nothing better than getting a blowjob in a bush or bending over a tree to get fucked. This place usually comes through.

I've been coming to this area of GG Park for years, sometimes weekly, and now it's just boring and mostly a miss, except for rare occasions.

The path between the windmills along the soccer fields is now totally dead: once in a while some dude might show up to check things out, but nobody really goes there, so now I don't even bother checking it.

The area that continues to have some action is at the corner of JFK Drive and Bernice Rodgers (B. Rodgers is now blocked to cars). There are some almost hidden paths that go from JFK to this area where the cruising occurs around one acre or more.

When the grass is green in the spring and summer, this is the nicest place to cruise in the city for those who like it outdoors. But after a while it's just plain boring. There are always the same three or five older Asian dudes cruising daily. And this skinny Asian queen with long hair is there every single day following dudes like crazy without taking a hint. Sometimes there are some homeless guys craving some cock, but usually they move on. The least I've seen is two guys and the most has been ten. Most of the time it's like five guys.

The cruising now is in the area along JFK Drive and Bernice Rodgers. There is no more cruising in the area from the windmill at MLK Drive to the Beach Chalet behind the soccer fields. Park right along JFK Drive near the Bernice Rodgers intersection and take any of the paths on the southwest side, which will take you to a nice grassy area with trees and shrubs to hide when you do the deed.

I've seen a bit of cruising during the day, but right around sunset is when this spot can get hot. Subject: Windmill area

All trees and bushes in this area have been cut down. The area is now denuded of cover. I visited over the weekend and the site was eerily quiet. There was nobody in the area; only a few people sitting in cars near the entrance.

I left without seeing anyone. I cannot say if this was a one-off or a regular situation. I have never struck out at this site previously.

Best after dark when the straight couples and families are gone. Either cruise on the lower paths near Great Highway or climb the stairs and walk down the old train track road bed. Lots of guys of all ages and types, but it takes a long time to connect because the abundance makes people very picky. I've had happy times here, but had to wait an hour or more to hook up.

Well they have tree-trimmed around the back side of the MLK windmill. It appears to be more related to keeping the homeless from camping there.

It seems to be busy on a warm evening with more activity, kinda hit or miss, sometimes busy, best after an hour after sundown until 11 pm or so. The Bernice Rodgers Way area is busy during the day to about about an hour or so after sunset.

Haven't been here in years. Just at Ocean Beach and stopped by Wednesday evening at dusk. Maybe six cars and trucks.

Well as of late there has been an increase in the area with activity, it may be the drought, and the nice evenings we have been having people go out more. There has been a bit of increase with the homeless, but they are harmless and just looking for an out of way place to sleep, but they do bring a lot of litter and garbage. After sunset for 1 to 1-1/2 hours is the busiest it seems, then around 9 pm and around midnight. I am told stuff goes on after 2 am, but that is too late for me.

I was here on Thursday. It was quite busy, about 15-20 guys over a period of 6.30-10 pm. The action was spread from the bathroom on the soccer field to the steps up from MLK. It seems after dark to about 11 pm is when most the action seems to be happening, at least at this time of year. There are a few homeless but they are pretty harmless.

It can still be fun, but it is not as busy as it once was. You need to park on Lincoln if arriving after 10 pm and walk in, and it seems from 9 pm to midnight are the busy times. The weather seems to impact activities. If it is too cold or windy there are fewer exhibitionists.

The park closes at 10 pm and the rangers or SFPD will stop you if you're on foot or sitting in your car after 10. But before 10 it can be very cruisy, either walking out along the dirt path between the windmills (this scene has been going on since God was a boy), or car cruising along the road next to the south windmill. Although the brush has been drastically cut back over the years, I always find new places to play. Be aware of your surroundings as patrols have been stepped up recently. The cops have stepped up their patrols at this location. Twice within one week I was out here around 10:30 to 11:30 pm. The first time I was just past the southwest corner of the soccer field.
