Subject: Muscular dominant tops needed now at Club Fort Lauderdale

This is a clean, safe, busy bathhouse and the best in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. Days with room specials (Tuesday and Friday) always busy, mixed crowd. Mature, sexy muscular bodybuilder types (my favorite) and all races, which I also love. Nice outdoor pool and hot tub; always busy. Steam room gets amazing action; and nice gym and sauna too. Chalkboard allows men to advertise themselves and what they are looking for. Just require a state issued current picture ID and entrance fee. Lockers, small rooms, small room with TV, deluxe room with TV and VIP specialty rooms, too.

I was here Friday April 14 looking for dominant muscular tops to break my virgin ass cherry. I am 6'2" and 270 so the bigger you are the better. Also interested in group action with muscular men. Overall, if you're in the area you cannot go wrong giving this place a shot, hope to see you there.

Fancy place, big, clean. No good space to facilitate group play. No orgy room, no dark room. The steam room is good but chemicals were making eyes burn.

This is the place for younger types and Miami boys to crack on and be sluts. Nice pool and outdoor area, hot tub is good. Inside has large maze-like sauna and glass walled showers. Rooms are adequate, what do you expect the Hilton?

This place felt like an exclusive country club with full gym, sauna, steamroom (closed due to COVID), outdoor pool, jacuzzi, gloryhole stalls, movie playroom, TV-theater room with sofas.

The crowd varies with ages but all parking spots were taken Sunday afternoon. Very choosy crowd but eventually you find the right crowd to fuck. Almost all got off.

Got fucked four times and sucked about a dozen dicks with about six loads in my mouth and three loads in the back. Walked out like a happy goose.

It is genuinely outstanding facility: nice gym, great pool, and lots of guys and pretty hot. But, when I was there it was a lot of guys walking around looking for the perfect guy to fuck. As a result nobody really ever got down to having sex. The play areas are small.

I went to this place for the first time on Saturday, August 11, and it was great! The staff is very friendly, the place is clean, and there's plenty of places inside to get some action. There is a dark room with gloryholes, a sauna, a steam room and a room with large TV playing porno.

But if you're looking to just hook with young, hot guys, then don't bother coming here. There are all kinds of guys here. I, personally, am not into older guys, but there are some there that day who were really hot!!!

This place is a safe and clean place to go have some fun.

This place is pretty much the "Taj Mahal of Bathhouses!" Beautiful decor and LED lighting, clean and more like a fancy 5-star resort. But that's where it pretty much ends. This lack of "sleaze factor" and the slogan "The American Sauna" should be a fair warning.

There is a bad vibe here, and an attitude to go along with it. There's too many people standing around and doing nothing. The multi-racial crowd — Black, Latino, Asian, etc. — there is solely looking for 25 and under — or, most prominently, 65 and older!

Other than that, you will be slapped away, sometimes with great force), so if someone doesn't look at you first, don't touch them! I'm middle-aged, in shape, look younger so that's not the issue. Plus I like Asians and Latinos and those happen to be the rudest there.

The rest of the crowd there is 65 and older whites, out of shape and sick-looking. The staff happened to be walking around and saw an Asian guy slap me and wanted to throw me out because I "crossed the line" and touched him first. I just tapped him and said hello, and he went off on me.

Don't waste you're time at this dump. And the beautiful renovations don't mean anything if the crowd there is so unwelcoming!

The staff is friendly, place is beautiful, age is over 40 and it has it's own parking. That being said, there are a lot of people walking around and not much action happening. I went on a Sunday when it was packed, not even much nude sunbathing.

The physical plant of this place is stunning. Really, it's beautiful and very clean. It's also decorated with a lot of pretty gymrats.

But wow, there is almost nothing going on here. Probably the lowest sexual temperature I've ever encountered in a bathhouse anywhere.

So go for a skinnydip, a workout, eye candy or sunning your buns. You may even enjoy some company, but that's more iffy.

The renovations that have been made to the showers, steam room, sauna, and bathrooms are really nice. The Club Ft. Lauderdale is the nicest looking place in South Florida by a long shot.

Even so, it can still be tricky to get something going quickly. A lot of the guys seem to be there only to walk around. They just wander and stand and chat with each other but never seem to actually hook up and have sex, either in public or in private.

But, if you're patient, and if you feel like waiting around for a while, you can usually get something going. The public play areas are fun, when guys chose to use them. There's a room with a sling room and a padded fuck table that's set up great for group play. And there's a gloryhole/private-booth area that can get really active sometimes, too.

The steam room also is set up nice for playing. Lots of nooks and cubby holes to duck into.

The outside deck, pool and hot tub area is nice, too, but no one ever seems to do anything out there. Guys most just go out there to smoke or 'take a break.'

All in all, it's a decent place. Not nearly as much action as you'd expect in one of the gayest, most liberal, overheated cities in the country.

But, the world isn't a perfect place. If you feel like getting off, give it a chance. You never know what any night might have in store.

I've come here a few times over the last ten years. It's a very nice modern and recently renovated facility. Clean and posh.

I have usually been the youngest by far (30s). On occasion there are some young guys there but this is a place for 50s+ in my opinion. All are welcome here and that's fine, just know what kind of crowd to expect and be cool with that. Enjoy the facilities and get your money's worth.

Nice steam, sauna, pool, over-chlorinated hot tub, two dark areas, plenty of rooms and filling weekend BBQs. The gym is great as well. Guys wise, like I said it's an older crowd, some in shape, many are not.

You can have fun here depending on what you're looking for. It's not cheap though.

I went twice during a recent visit to the area. The crowd is mostly 40s and up and there are some outlier senior citizens and 30-somethings as well. I'd say the average age is in the 50s. They layout is great and I like the renovations to the steam, sauna, showers, very nice.

They keep it clean and the place is large and has a nice gym as well as out door salt water pool.

Play wise. If you like daddies, grand-dads, mature men, and bears, you will be very happy here.

I agree that it can be hit-or-miss, but there is really something for everyone here. Nice facility that is diminished by a rude and nasty staff.

There are two heavy-set staffers who are particularly vile. It's a wonder why they still have jobs. Perhaps bathhouses are unable to recruit competent personnel with bonafide customer service skills. I can understand there's a certain element of bathhouse clientele who should be treated harshly. However, long-standing club members who are respectful and loyal should be treated with kindness and appreciation. The grossly impersonal staff speaks at you from behind bullet-proof glass and through a cage, which does not really help matters.

I've been here at all different times, on all different days. Not a friendly atmosphere at all. Generally, no one talks to anyone they don't know. Either they're too uptight, too stuck up, or too afraid of rejection. 70% of the clientele are trolls (over 60, overweight, or just butt ugly); 10% cliquish twinks (walking and giggling in groups of two or more); 10% fit vanity cases (who pose all night and never seem to find anyone good enough to get with) and the last 10% are sketchy hoodlums (who look like they'll rob you if given the chance0). Watch out for blackout parties, which should also be known as "troll night." Avoid it unless you don't mind trolls groping your junk.

So why still go here? Occasionally, you will have an awesome sexual experience. But most of the time you'll leave having compromised your standards and wasting money.

I can't figure this place out. Like all private men's clubs, the action can be hit and miss. That's just the way these places are. However, hit and miss is an understatement for this one.

The level of action varies so wildly that sometimes I've wondered whether or not I'm actually in a gay men's sex club. Despite the fact that good looking guys are walking the halls and, presumably, looking to fuck around, it just doesn't feel sexy, hot, stimulating, sleazy or even fun. It just doesn't feel like anything at all.

Unfortunately, there's no telling when you're going to run into a night like that.

I've been here on Saturday nights when the parking lot outside has been full of cars and yet there's been hardly anything going on inside. And what's happening inside certainly wouldn't get you torqued up to the point that you feel like getting off.

You do get a lot of the younger, self-described VGL guys here, but they mostly walk around and rarely do anything with anyone, not even with the other VGL guys who you'd think they be looking for. I don't understand that at all.

Lately, I've started seeing more and more guys who sit in their room with the door open, lights on, having a giggle party with a friend or two while they text or play on their iPad. That behavior and attitude kills any feeling of sensuality or sexual heat that might otherwise be found in a place like this.

When it comes to sex and getting off and having a good time, I'm not a guy who cares if you're a nelly twink, a macho jock, a bear, a 5x/week work out guy, a regular guy, a leather man, 22, 52, whatever. Guys who know how to have fun with other guys are hot. That's all it takes. But a lot of the guys who show up at The Club FTL these days don't seem to be there for sex of any kind. I see so little action and, frankly, so little interest in sex in general from the guys that go here that I'm beginning to wonder how many more chances I'm going to give this place.

That's really a shame. Because The Club FTL used to be one of the best bathhouses anywhere. And it still has the potential to knock the balls off of any type of competition that might exist in Ft. Lauderdale. It's in a great spot downtown, has a lot of space and rooms inside, the facilities are kept up well (for the most part) and God knows that there's enough overheated, horned-up gay residents and visitors to the area that there should never be a slow night here.

Someone needs to start a campaign to get the action back into this club.

This place used to be great. That was then, this is now. Mostly out of shape guys, well over 40. Or 50. Maybe a random hotter, younger guy but not often. Seems Fort Lauderdale has aged out of hotness. Hadn't been in a few years, and this place was always hot, even fucked one of the hot towel boys. The staff is fine, but wouldn't fuck 'em now. Nice place (like I said 'place'). But the clientele is snobby and demeaning, shoves, pushes away, stand n' model, bitch yelling matches... Jeez, if you are so picky just don't go!

I found the slower times better. On Friday and Sat nights, forget it, you'll have to pick your way through giggling kids and mirror queens, only finding someone if your lucky. Weekends at lunch is mostly 'JUST lunch' and not much sex. People going there just for the food. On the cheap 1/2 price locker / room nights, the same crowd there and the same snotty attitude. Other slow nights are better, or during weekdays, especially during the winter season.

Went here for the first time in a long time. I agree with the previous commenter that the vibe of the place seems to be getting better. Still a lot of guys walking around all night who don't seem to be interested in doing anything sexual with anyone at all. Period. But it did seem that there were more guys there who wanted to get something going. I had three really good hook-ups on a very slow night. So, I consider that to be a success.

Since I was last at The Club, they've added a couple of play areas: A group play/orgy style room that has some padded benches and a large table and also a sling. There's also a video room with booths kind of like a bookstore, which I found to be a little confusing but hey, who am I to judge, right?

Again, I was very encouraged to see that the overall vibe of the place seems to be returning to that of a gay mens' sex club rather than a 'social gathering' place.

I'm going to start checking out this place again from time to time and see how things progress.

This place is getting better than before. Mixed crowd of all ages and races. The young-4-older only crowd has apparently migrated to the other place by Oakland Park (clubhouse II) which I learned to avoid the hard way. More specials: 1/2 price rooms on Tuesday and Fridays and 1/2 price lockers on Thursday. More action than attitude recently. Certainly beats trying to meet anyone online!

I thought it was me, but I go often enough and always find that no one seems to want to do much. It used to be a great place, with lots of action in the steamroom, and now everyone wanders around assessing each other and I suppose figuring they can do better and so only rarely does anyone do anything. I attribute some of this to agism since I am older now, but heck I'm only 44 and have no problem at other bathhouses. Also, there is alot of barebacking. The recent remodeling of the video room from gloryholes to some pansy ass bamboo sitting area destroyed the video room.

The facility, amenities and upkeep are wonderful. But there is no comfortable playroom and worst, the clientele. They aren't there for sex, just wandering, looking, NO touching.

This could qualify as one of the worst bathhouses in the country! The only positives are the great pool and the cleanliness. Trouble is there is nothing going on. No sex, no play area, no reason to go.

This is one of the worst baths I've been to. It seems to reject the idea of sex. The best part is the outdoor pool, but I have never seen action anywhere. I got some head in the steamroom one time, but that's all.

I have been to this place many times. The staff has always been fine with me. They are always trying to change things a little and that is good. I have been going to this place for many years and the nice thing about it is that it's different each time you go. Sometimes it's much hotter than others but no matter what, you will get off each time you go. I am like a kid in a candy store when I go there. Best times believe it or not are around 5 am on weekend mornings when there are hot guys everywhere and everyone is doing the deed like dogs.

I was there twice last week and I have to say this place has changed and is probably one of my favorite bathhouses anywhere at this point! First, gay porn has arrived at the Club. For whatever reason, they never had any porn since I could remember, and now they have private and public TV rooms, with 3 channels of porn. It is still one of the cleanest, best kept facilities I have ever seen. The outdoor pool/spa area is great; the steamroom temp is now actually tolerable, and I do not know if I just hit it at the right time, but the selection of men was awesome. I was there Sunday night and again Tuesday from noon to 5 pm. It is a much more playful and sexually-charged atmosphere than I ever remember. I rate this place an easy 9 on a 10-scale. I've been to this club several times over the years when I visit from Virginia. One thing we have to remember as gay men is that just because we are all gay at the club, it does not mean that we are every gay guy's type. There will be rejection at times. I am not what you would call the average good bod gay guy. I am a short, little on the heavy side, black guy. So I will be rejected by several at the club. And that is OK. But the guys that like my type are there as well and they are hot guys with nice bodies from all backgrounds. Stop thinking that just because some one turned you down more than once or that some of the guys that may not be as attractive as you or that you would like make it not worth going. Everyone needs to feel sexy at times, even those that may not fit your picture of the perfect gay man.

The comments about this place are true. It is a great facility and I've noticed that the staff has been much more pleasant for the last year now. I go here maybe every other month or two only because there is only one other Geriatric bathhouse in Lauderdale and another pretty lousy one in Miami. Love the comment about being able to cook a lobster in the steamroom! It's very true; I don't understand why it's so damn hot in there! Yes, the attitude is so ridiculous there that it is not fun anymore but the entire gay scene has changed in general now. I went to this place recently and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful layout. The pool area with hot tub were especially nice. This club has a very well equipped gym area, sauna, large cavernous steamroom, video playroom, and media room. I did not notice any rude staff as some other posts suggest. The clientele is very mixed with all ages, from pose and model twinks to fattie trolls, some really cute Latinos and college students and many vacationers from all over the world. I have been to many places everywhere but this club is as good as or better than Chicago's Steamworks. It's not cheap but it is worth the admission. Not looking for frills? Slammerclub on West Sunrise is less expensive but if you are just looking to get off this may be a better alternative.

Ok, I heard all the comments about 'trolls' and such. Yeah, that is true. I have not been here since 2007 and I will tell you why. This place, first of all, does not condone sexual activity on the premises. Second, the place is a stand-and-model place, full of attitude. Some of the worst (and humiliating/hard-to-forget) rejections occur here. Lowered my self-esteem to a point so low that only moving to a new city was able to help! In case you are wondering, I am 6', 170 lbs, and thirty-five years old. Not bad. But that does not cut it for this place. I have just spent some time at the Club, and I must say that it's sad how far down it's gone. The place is practically a nursing home; over half of the patrons are senior citizens, who sometimes go there on walkers. I think I even saw one patron put on a pair of adult diapers. I have been to many bathhouses and this one certainly ranks as a very good one. I don't know what the other commenters expect of a bathhouse.
