Heads Up!
Beware of a Nazi forest ranger (black guy) who will bust you. His station is on the premises so he is at this preserve 24/7. He has a lot of time on his hands and he spends that time looking for cruisers. If he finds you engaging in illegal activity, he insists you are resisting arrest so he can knock you to the ground and handcuff you. He then proceeds to arrest you and you are served with a court date were you have to appear or he issues a warrant for your arrest. This was a nightmare for me, which ended in me having to pay a lawyer a lot of money plus a court fine. Avoid this place at all costs!

Definitely wishful thinking! I have been here ten times in the last three weeks and nothing. There was never anyone here. A squad car patrols all the time, he is stationed on the premises. I won't be back.

This preserve is busy. Latino, black, white, military (Great Lakes Navel Base is just down the street). I have had a lot of action here and have never once been bothered by cops. The bugs can get bad so bring repellant. This is a good one!
