Let me start by saying I'm a regular at BR. Have been for a good while. With that said, the reviews below bear little resemblance to the place I know. Either some folks have very active imaginations or they're trying to attract more people to the place.

Visited Bush River for the first time on a Friday midday. The place was pretty busy, a mix of old and not so old guys. Switched between the theater and booths a couple of times. Four men were arrested for "Perverted Sexual Practice" under Maryland's sodomy law in May, 2021 by the Harford County Sheriff's Office. Five others were arrested on other charges. From the Blade:

Visited last Friday around lunchtime and the place was packed. So many cars in the lot I almost couldn't find a place to park. Speaking of which, the parking lot's a mess – unpaved, muddy, lots of potholes – so take care back there.

I like this place.

The front room is clean and well lighted, racks of magazines and videos. At the front counter they sell toys and snacks! To the right is the usual arcade with some gloryholes. To the left are the theaters, eleven dollars to go in. They dot your hand with the color of the day so you can come and go as you please, to check out the arcade or go outside and have a smoke. Unlike some other places, I've never seen anybody smoking inside.

First room in the theater area is a well-lit lounge, almost like a home living room. Next are the dark theater rooms, four of them. They're spacious with a large video screen and several sofas in each room, not the typical movie theater seats or benches.

The staff is friendly, and in my experience so are most of the customers. I only go on Saturday nights, and the parking lot is always full. The only amenity lacking is a water fountain, so bring your own. Or (since you can re-enter) you can go to the 7-11 next door. There's a well-worn path.

Looks like no one uses this comment forum including the store owners. I posted the problems with the monitors being out of focus especially when sitting down in the booths and the validators not accepting ten and twenty dollar bills and sometimes even getting them to accept one's and five's is difficult.

I can only say again to the store owners you are losing money because of the frustration experienced when trying to pay to watch the movies. The last time, this week, I was there and intended to spend at least sixty to eighty dollars and left out of frustration after spending only thirty dollars. Tried to get change for twenty-dollar bills from the cashier and each time I'm told I can only get two fives and a ten.

I clarified that you meant the owners of the store, not me, the owner of CFS. Judging by the number of Reviews other than yours, this place gets more Reviews than many places on the site.

Not everyone who cruises comes to CFS. Not everyone who reads CFS posts here. Please keep that in mind.

I edited and published that last Review of yours where you mentioned the monitors and cash validators June 9. The management needs to do some adjusting of the monitors and cash validators. When sitting in some of the booths the videos appear blurred and out of focus. The cash validators more than often reject five, ten, and twenty dollar bills. There are times I would have spent another forty to sixty dollars but left in frustration because the validators rejected the money.

Also, it would be nice to see some tranny or crossdresser videos. There was a time that these videos were part of the mix. Still a good place to visit and spend some fun time.

My GF and I went in there about a week ago. We toured the video selection and there were a bunch of people in and out of the store.

I was at Bush River two Saturdays ago and had the time of my life! The place was packed with men of all ages and everyone was having a good time. It's the beginning of the end for Bush River. When this place was in it's heyday (late 90s through about 2010 or so), I used to rent the private room on any given day and have at least a half a dozen married guys (the best guys to cruise) either unload in my ass or on my face.

Guys, this place is a hit-or-miss type of situation. It may be hot one week and not the next, depending on the weather or the season.

The counter staff are uniformly gay-friendly, since it's a family (with gay members, evidently) who won't judge you. Chances are, if you seem to be unwelcome, it's because you did something last time to piss off the management. Yes, I know you may not have done anything actually wrong, or you were framed by somebody else (been there!) but it's their livelihood there, and they've got to walk a thin line between the law and what goes on there. Do your best to work with them.

Heads Up!

I was there tonight about 10:10 and when I exited the restroom saw a Harford County Sheriff with a flashlight in the section with the booths. Looked like he was looking in the booths, doing his rounds. I casually walked out to my vehicle, smoked half a cigarette and drove off, but not too fast. Drove by and found the parking lot packed with cars. Not disappointed. There must have been twenty guys back in the peeps at 3 pm in the afternoon, all types. I stopped by Wednesday. It was an OK time. Some people there were trying to enjoy themselves. I am a sissy bottom and left with a smile on my face, and a little sore.

I got there around 2 and left around 5. I hear it picks up a bit more in the evening. $11 gets you into the theatre and you can return to the theatre as long as you don't leave the premises. Just passing along a news report that there was more police activity and arrests on 1/16/12. Someone who was there told me he is certain one of the deputies who took part in the latest bust is a regular (not in uniform) and didn't seem too happy to be there.

Was there this past weekend and the cops came in on both Saturday and Sunday around 11:30 pm. They went into the theatre and ran people out and they cuffed one black guy in the peeps and took him out for giving a false name when asked. On Sunday they came back at the same time and cuffed and took out 4 more people from the theatre area. They let two go with a written citation, but the other two they took to a booking station for processing. It appears the Sheriffs office will be making this a regular stop on any given day or night so if you go there be very careful.

Bush River IS being targeted. Watch out. The sweep is set to go until July 1st so they could get hit a few times before then.
