Orchard Beach is dead as a door nail. It is a colossal waste of time and effort. Yes, at one time it was very active but that was long ago.

Subject: orchard beach lover

Used to go to Orchard a lot from the late 80's - early 2000's and had dozens of very cool, fun hookups with hot guys. Loved to go to twin island and suck cock all day long! But it's been a long long time since I was there.

Last time I was there it was a little weird when a boy scout troop was hiking around the area and I had also heard of a few gay bashing incidents so I stopped going there and moved away from the Bronx over ten years ago.

However, I am thinking of going there again in a few days to see if there's still action going on there. I'd like to find a couple of hot guys to get very friendly with.

I rarely swim on the beach. The rock paths along the water to the left of Section 1 lead to some secluded sunbathing areas where I do swim on occasion. There are no lifeguards back there, but the water is mostly calm. Be careful of the sharp rocks under water. I have a few scratches from being less than careful.

The Twin Islands are back there and at high tide, it is a very wet walk to the Islands. It can get very crowded and overtly gay — which is cool, just over the top sometimes — here on warm weekends. Some nude sunbathing happens here. Almost exclusively men hangout here.

Everyone is usually very cool, and the occasional skinny dip is totally acceptable. I find weekday afternoon to early evening best for sunbathing and chilling in the buff.

Have been on a regular basis last few weeks. Not always great but pretty reliable. A lot more than blowjobs goes on in the woods to the left side of the parking lot.

Great places for guys to get blowjobs, etc. Had a few young Italian and Latino guys that I gave head to. Walk in the woods at the rear end of the parking lot and walk in about 400 feet. Make a right and follow trail up about 200 or 300 feet. Make a left, walk about 25 feet and hang out. Someone will come by to serve you some great head. Only during daytime hours.

Take the path at the far left end of the boardwalk for cruisy woods, nude sunbathing and swimming. Great at high tide because the far island is hard to reach. People are cool. Weekends, late afternoon and evenings are best times.

This can be pretty active in the summer, especially weekends, but I didn't find the guys particularly good-looking or masculine. Could be a matter of taste and there are exceptions, but doesn't seem worth the trip to me.

After Labor Day when there is no charge for going into the parking lot, enter and keep to the left of the lot near the woods. Park and stand out of your car. It's active late afternoon as the sun sets and all night.
