This place is great all year long, even more in the summer from late April to late October. The only cops that arrest people here are cops in uniforms. They see people having sex from the jogging path because people have sex too close to the path. Have sex inside, not near the front or near the jogging path.

Most people say bad things about Plum Beach so you won't go and they get more sex. So go, it's fun, lots of gay guys and straight married or straight single guys. I met a lot of friends here and sex partners here. I've been going since 1992 and never got arrested. You need to know what you are doing, of course. If you go for an hour or 30 minutes you probably won't hook up, but if you find a nice safe spot and stay for awhile you will hook up.

So have a great summer and don't believe what they say about Plum Beach. It's nice. It will be closed to cars from April til December due to phase 2 of the fixing up the beach, but you can walk from Knapp Street. Park your car there or bike it in. Remember cops can't get through with their cars and they are too lazy to walk in, which will make Plum Beach even more private and safer then past years. And no kids or families either, so this is the year to go.

It has been dead for a long time now. With hurricane Sandy, the place was devastated. Flooded-out parking lot ,dunes washed away, big sand piles all over and huge sink-holes. Some dildoes floated out of the trails and were seen on the Belt Parkway floating in the flood waters days after Sandy hit.

I have always been very lucky here. Of course you have to be careful, but be careful and find a secluded spot. There are many trails and some of my best "outdoor fun" has been on them.

Lots of undercover cops looking to arrest here. Also, it seems like a breeding ground for mosquitoes, not to mention all the poison ivy.

I was there yesterday and saw undercover cops arrest two guys for playing in the bushes. I had never actually witnessed this until yesterday and they hand-cuffed them and paraded them into the parking lot for all to see.

NYPD is all over the place. The other day the helicopter hovered around two hundred feet up in the air telling everyone to get out while patrols were outside on the Belt Parkway. This city has become a police state.

Recently two guys setup to meet a guy there who they then tried to beat up. He ran out onto the Parkway, was hit by a car and died. It made all the papers so the cops are keeping an eye on this place.

NYPD has been rounding up people on the Belt Parkway side while the Federal Parks Police have been combing the beach side with binoculars and handing over people to NYPD. Both do nothing about the illegal swimming (due to polluted waters)and fishing by straights!

This is a nice place to cruise. Watch out for undercover cops. The leaves are coming, so the boys are coming too. There are some old, dirty people sometimes, but it is nice in general. Saturday after 3 pm is the best time.

There are some handsome guys here, but sometimes it's the same old people. It's a safe place. The police seen around are from DEC looking for fishermen. The parking lot is also good to the left. The bushes all the way in the back are very secure, and most times I find someone to play with. Keep going. It's getting better.

Be very careful here. Your best bet is to hook up here, then take your business elsewhere. This park is constantly patrolled by the US Park Police. Many people have been arrested here, mainly during sting operations. Beware of a black, older-type Chevy van with blacked-out windows and Florida plates. This is an undercover cop. He lures people into the van, and then promptly arrests them, leaving their car there, and taking them to the police station.

There is also another cop in an old 4x4. He has curly salt and pepper hair. And there is also an Asian cop in a gray sports car. Beware guys. The whole thing is embarrassing. They take you to the station and humiliate you. He told the chief that I was exposing myself to him. What a bastard! I really couldn't argue and make a scene because I'm married. For the hundredth time they are tying to "clean up" the beach. It hasn't worked before and am sure it won't work now. They are closing the beach and parking area from 9 pm to 6 am. Anyone found here during this time will get a trespassing summons, which means a court appearance. Crusing is still going on during the day and in the evenings up until 9 pm. This is still one of the best and hottest spots. The closure won't last. I give it a month or so and things will be back to normal. I have been going here for ten years and have seen them try the closure many times but it never lasts.

Dress warm in the winter, it gets cold. Guys play in their cars then. Be careful because police do come in the parking lot. I've fucked under the overpasses, sucked in the bushes and got pissed on in the dunes. The bushes and trails are a hit or miss thing. You can go once and hook up quickly and go the next night and find nothing. There is nothing happening during the daytime, weeknights after 10 pm are much better.

The area is patrolled by Federal Park Police and sting operations are their specialty. Be aware of a good looking guy in a large, black van, all blacked-out windows, out of state plates. He is a Park Police Officer, lures you into his car, once you make a move or expose anything -- as he asks you to do -- he smiles and informs you that you're under arrest.

Been at the beach several times both day and night and there has not been much going on. Parking lot always looks full and nobody in their cars, but when you walk through the bushes there is no action at anytime. It seems that most empty cars are straight people sitting by the beach.
