Went back last weekend. Two guys went at it in the public area and nobody came upstairs to tell them to go in a booth so I'm wondering if the video monitoring depends on the attending cashier that watches things or if they changed policy.

It was many years since my last visit here. Admission fifteen dollars for the second floor. There are video cameras trained on the viewing area and the arcade hallway to make sure any activity occurs in the booths only. From what I could tell there is permanent seating in only one booth.

Vishara has reopened and is surprisingly crowded upstairs. I live in the neighborhood and it was the only place like it prior to closing in March. Since bars and pretty much everything else, except Central Park, are gone Vishara is making for a good hook up place upstairs.

About twenty guys were there last Friday night, most all wearing masks. Everything from businessmen, out of work Broadway dancers, to regulars and some trolls, but overall not bad. Certainly more crowded now than it was prior to COVID-19 or when it was up the block.

The place is a dive, a few plastic chairs facing a TV screen and then some booths. But it works and it's air conditioned. Fifteen dollars gets you in, no hassles from anyone. Be patient and your type just might show up.

Vishara has been my most reliable go-to place for over fifteen years. A couple of weeks back, it closed at 8th Avenue and 48th, but re-opened the same day a block away at 8th Avenue and 47th, with same name, same staff and pretty much the same store and layout. There is still an upstairs theater for fifteen dollars, downstairs booths, and sex shop. Also the same crowd so far, which I am also happy about, and some new people too. They are obviously trying to recreate the same look and feel.

For those who have not been before, you pay fifteen dollars, head upstairs, and there is a space showing porn on a big TV screen with chairs, and a series of booths where they tend to leave you alone.

A wide selection of guys, can be good mid-afternoon, late afternoon or evening, and I've had amazing times there, even recently, but as with all these places a little hit or miss.

Locals and tourists — there are several hotels in the area — go late night. Word is Vishara is on the chopping block and will soon be a thing of the past.

I went there yesterday. I was a little creeped out about the roaches that scattered when I turned on the light in the bathroom. But, when I saw them crawl across the video monitor, I knew it was time to go.

Don't bother to pay to go upstairs. Stick to the booths on the first floor. Always hit or miss. But, sometimes, great fun.

I went here a couple of times recently. There is some action in the main room, but not a lot. There is a rather elaborate cleaning ritual at 7 pm in the evening that involves turning on lights, mopping and sweeping. It takes about 20 minutes.

Place is definitely dirty but I still always find cock. I start by cruising the guys in the booths at street level. When I'm finished there, I head upstairs, pay the $15 admission and get busy.

I was there Saturday night from about 6 to 9. The entire place was filled with young looking hustlers - must have been fifteen of them. This place has always been rather nasty, but there used to be some decent looking lunchtime suits that would come in. Recently it is a hellhole upstairs. I wen to Vishara on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time! I went back later that same Saturday and it was not so great. Guys (mostly undersiable) were almost living in the booths. There were many guys who only wanted to spy on what action might be going on in a booth.
The crowd tends to be a bit older. But it is possible to have fun here. I will be going back.

10 pm on a Saturday I entered Vishara to find the place clean as can be, well-lit, and completely empty. Don't bother.
