What is the status of the trails, now in 2017? The parking lot looked open the last time I drove by.

According to the local TV channels in Raleigh, the Jordan Lake nature trail would still be open to those who like to walk and watch the wildlife, but the parking lot would be close permanently and those who like to walk the trails would have to park out on the main highway (751) and walk back in the woods. This trail has always been a favorite hangout for locals who like cruising -- best in the woods and down near the beach. Hopefully another place near Jordan Lake can be found that would offer some degree of parking and a hot place to cruise for some of the best that this area has to offer. I would expect, come summer, that the area on 751 might still have some life despite the closing of the parking lot. If so, I plan on being there to check it out.

Heads Up!
Be careful out here, guys. This place is crawling with under cover men, good-looking men. They are even on patrol with SUVs on the beach. I have seen this the week of the 14th.

Good news, boys! Our favorite hangout is open for business again! They have finally finished the thinning out process so anybody can go there during normal business hours. Now, for the terrain...They have completely gutted the front entrance and the walkway so it looks like within the first five hundred feet there is no entrance to the trails. But there is -- it's hidden to the immediate right once you get to the section of leveled trees and branches. Just follow that trail and it will lead you to one of main trails that is now hidden by all the rummage. Yes, you may be able to just climb over the rummage to get to the trails as well but the entryway to the right is much easier. Now for the main place where everyone would normally be sunbathing...Well boys, any area that is close by the lake has been thinned out, so if that's where you would normally go to cruise you can't do it anymore without being seen (from the Desert to Eagle Point), but once you get on the main trails leading you to the spots where people (like myself) sunbathe, those trees have been left untouched, which leaves a lot more coverage. And the best part is that with the lack of rain we have had and the really hot weather the tide has gone completely down so for a very short while we have a beach. You can walk on the side (again covering the appropriate areas with the smallest swimsuit that you have) from the Desert following Eagle Point to your left, or you can take the right way which would lead you to another beach and more brush (watch out though, there are a lot of straight guys on the weekends that fish on that side.)

I snuck in to the park to see what has been changed. Here's what I've found out. Basically, the main entrance to the trail has been majorly gutted. A lot of the secret spots that guys (married, bi, closeted, whatever) used to go that were at the front entrance are pretty much gone, and there isn't much cover beyond that. Looks like once they are finished, if you want to play, you are going to have to go deeper within the woods. And they have thinned out anything close to the water so not as much cover there either, but the good news is that the majority of the trails and the desert (where most men, including myself, are sunbathing in the smallest swimsuits that we can find -- if anything at all) have remained untouched. That's not to say that they aren't going to try to go deeper within the trails. But so far, they are only doing the front entrances. I talked with a guy from Piedmont Wildlife Diversity and he said that while they haven't run into many problems with the rain, and that the loggers are making good progress with the cutting, that it's going to take them a few more weeks before the place is open to the public. I am personally hoping that they finish up everything by mid-August if not sooner.

The trail is closed off for a timber harvest. Signs are posted forbidding entrance. There's no indication when the trails will be open again. This closing applies to the whole area here, even the bird-watching area.

Jordan Lake Nature Trail is as hot as I have ever seen it. Visited this past week and found plenty of hot naked guys at the end of the trail. This past weekend the parking lot was the first clue. Lots of horny guys partying in the parking lot with lots of hot guys going to and from the lake. If you don't advertise and use common sense the park rangers will pretty much leave you alone, however, they do make their rounds. I saw two hot guys along the trail to the lake who I knew were watching me. It became evident before I left as to what they really wanted. Hot place so far this summer.

I've been here quite a few times since the unfortunate event. Lots of guys still cruising and plenty of nude walkers and sun bathers. Sex in the woods is alive and well at Jordan Lake.

Went there three times last weekend and saw a lot of people but no one doing anything. There were a couple guys walking around in g strings, but no action at all.

Heads Up!
It was reported in the news that police will be stepping up patrols here due to the recent discovery of a badly beaten man. They noted they would be watching for any sort of problems, including public nudity, etc. Be careful!

This is an old spot that slowed down after the parking lot was closed. It is now reopened and the nude sunbathers and cocksuckers are back. Keeping the action out of the parking lot and off the main trails is best. This place can be too good to let them close it because people can't be a little discreet.
