Went July 19, 2024 and was not impressed. Booths are really small and one has no bench to sit down. I was expecting something a little nicer.

First time there, arrived on a Thursday afternoon. Ten dollar entry, about twenty-five booths along the walls and in a few clusters. Gloryholes in some. Only two other guys there and both very very rough – one looked homeless, the other young and aggressive.

Stayed for a half hour and moved on. It may be better later on the day and on weekends, so worth trying out, just maybe not middle of the day.

Despite Philadelphia's size as the fifth largest US city, the bookstore scene is generally disappointing. Venus is the best of the bunch. Ten dollar admission, open 24/7, stay as long as you like, watch videos at no additional charge, several booths with large gloryholes, and the clerk does not hassle you. So far, so good.

It is hit or miss, but when it hits, it's great. They now charge you ten bucks to get into the arcade, but you don't have to put any money in for the flicks. There are plenty of booths, many with gloryholes, and a couple big enough for three guys to go at it.

This place does have potential, but they need to fire the entire staff. I went there twice yesterday. Within less than 2 minutes the clerk was on the PA system telling people to get into boothes and such.
