This is a regular gay club that wants you to buy alcohol. It is not a cruisy room and there is no dark room or any gloryholes. All bathrooms are monitored by security. All type of sex activity is forbidden. If you get caught you will be kicked out of the club at the least. Most guys there are not in shape, older crowd, some wear leather and stuff like that. It is just a club.

Agreed. The Eagle is not at all what it was in the downtown cellar location a few years ago. ~ Editor

The Eagle reopened in June, 2016. The old building that caught fire has been rebuilt to code, including the new Phoenix Room upstairs.

This place burned down on 1/1/16. Owner says they will reopen, but no date announced.

Here's a summary of what happened from Project Q Houston. The fire was actually in the afternoon of Saturday, January 2. The upper part of the building burned and has fire and smoke damage. The bar, located only on the first floor, suffered water damage.

The structure is standing but needs major repairs. Meanwhile, Eagle Houston has moved back to being a Sunday-only venue as it was originally at their first large stone dungeon-like basement location at 709 Franklin downtown. You can follow developments on their Facebook page ~ Editor

Bar has new Montrose location and hours as of June, 2014. Small dance floor with weekend DJ. Lots of balcony and patio space including some dark patio areas. Small store inside. Check web site and Facebook page for events.

The Eagle has moved to their new, permanent location at 213 Milam Street and are open Friday through Sunday.

Heads Up!

Careful about playing here. Police raided it a few weeks ago and several men were arrested for playing in the darkroom.

I have been there once and the place has potential. Nice music, lots of guys/men. They have a room where guys can fool around, I saw some light touching, nothing major, but I heard they have some nights where they have lots of action/sex etc. Maybe the place is adding more dark rooms; I need to go check again. It is a nice place. Beer is cheap.
