The park is going through a massive improvement and renovation project. Does anyone know if it's still cruisy?

HPD is still arresting and charging men who are caught in Memorial Park.

From ABC13, July 31:
Frequent cyclists know the reality: not everyone uses Memorial Park for routine exercise. Public sex and masturbation in the woods have been an ongoing problem for years. So far this year, Houston Police have arrested five, and charged three men around the Picnic Loop for indecent exposure.
From the Houston Chronicle, Aug 1:
"A guy will be just walking, or sitting in his car, and another guy will follow him and they disappear into the woods. That's when our officer will follow and look for guys just standing around looking at leaves," Vice Sgt. Tony Gracia said. "It's regular Joe Citizen on his lunch break and going to the area and masturbating."

...At least six people have been arrested for indecent exposure in the last six months, Silva said.

The last high-profile case goes back to 2013, when seven men were arrested in one day.

One was a Harris County sheriff's deputy, Christopher Toomey, who had been a deputy for four years when he was nabbed. Police had operated stings on Picnic Loop for years before that, Gracia said.
The local TV story showed names and photos of the three men charged. The newspaper only named Toomey, who had also been charged in 2013.

Police conducted an undercover sting operation at Memorial Park Thursday, August 1. According to HPD, seven were arrested for "indecent exposure." Others report at least twenty arrested on solicitation charges. Be careful here.

Cops on bikes and horses are aggressively working the park. I stopped to use the restroom (and only to use the restroom), and two mounted police rode through on horseback, questioned me, took my name and license number and issued a stern verbal warning. Be very careful out there.

It's February again, so it must be Sweeps Month for the local TV news shows. On February 1, one of the stations re-did the same story they had a few years ago called 'Public Sex in Memorial Park! And You Won't Believe Who's Doing It!" They said there were busts and police hauled off a couple dudes and one couple escaped into the woods. The gist of it was that the police were cracking down after complaints from joggers, etc. Given the TV publicity, it's best to cool it here for now.

Bicycle cop was spotted on Saturday, January 7 hanging out in the middle of the woods. I was pursuing an interesting young man and was about twenty-five paces behind him when I saw the cop just hanging out in full dress uniform on the trail. Needless to say, I beat a mean retreat.

Yesterday afternoon I saw several cops on bikes in the woods on the trails. I also saw way too many sqaud cars for it to be just a coincedence. I did not see anyone being carried away, but there is something going on. If you go to Memorial Park, meet, talk, and take it somewhere else. Otherwise you are likely to spend the night in jail. I have already been caught there. It ain't much fun.

Good cruising ground near the train tracks across from the jogging loop and by a soccer field just off the main drive. Action gets busier in the woods towards sunset. Big problem this time of the year is the mosquitos. By the time I swallowed my load of thick African American cum, my back was a field of red bites. I cruised through the parking lot about 2:30 am. There were two cars there. I encountered one cute guy squatting in the edge of the woods. I talked to him and then his police radio went off. Another buddy was evidently in the woods.

This place is very dangerous for cruisers. The park is beautiful and certainly cruisy, but the cops come on very strong and decoys are used. There are hidden cameras installed around the park.

This is a very cruisy park and a great place to meet others, but the undercover cops do come on strong. On the trails, you will think you are being picked up for instant sex, but you will be arrested in no time. It's better to pick up there and take your business someplace else.

Yes, this is a very dangerous place to look for sex. I got busted last year by an undercover cop and he came on strong to me. Be careful if your cruising Memorial Park. They're not playing around. It cost me a lot of money and time and going to jail.

Memorial park has been cruisy for a number of years, but the past several years the police have been very persistent. It seems you're better off meeting there and doing your business elsewhere to avoid being arrested or hassled!

After you pass the Nature Center the next entrance should be to a small parking lot to the right. It is here where the action is. You will see a lot of cars parked with their headlights dimmed. The action is in the parking lot as well as the woods behind it.
